Hire warehouse workers in Stockholm
Quick answer
Talea Work AB hires out warehouse workers to distribution centres, third-party warehouses, e-commerce sites and wholesalers throughout Stockholm County. They are Talea's own employees under the Swedish staffing collective agreement, so the employer role, wages and insurance are ours, while you direct the work and hold the work environment responsibility in the warehouse. Tasks range from goods receipt and putaway to picking, returns, packing and loading. Forklift training is checked before the start. Call Abbe Nilsson at our Älvsjö office on +46 73 739 16 04 to hear within the day how we can cover your shifts, along with a quote.

Stockholm's warehouse map, from Brunna to Jordbro
Warehousing in the Stockholm region is spread over several distinct zones, and the job differs between them. North of the city, in Rosersberg and Arlandastad near the E4 and in Brunna in Upplands-Bro, large distribution centres dominate, and depending on how far a site has automated its flows, the job may mean working at a goods-to-person station, checking inbound deliveries or sorting out exceptions. Closer to the centre, in Västberga and around the Årsta wholesale market, the work is more manual and starts early, with deliveries to shops, restaurants and sites in the inner city. To the south, Länna and Jordbro combine warehouses with manufacturing businesses, so a warehouse role there may include supplying materials to production lines or packing finished goods. We take assignments in all of these areas and anywhere else in the county.
The location tells us part of the story; the tasks tell us the rest. When you call, describe what the person will do during an ordinary hour: breaking down pallets and booking in goods, judging the condition of returns, loading to fixed departure times or picking against a scanner. Say whether trucks are involved, which warehouse management system you use and whether exception handling has its own codes. Give us a sense of volume too, both on a normal day and at peak, in order lines, parcels or pallets. That lets us choose an employee whose pace and experience fit from the first week. Someone who works well on independent returns handling is not necessarily comfortable at a workstation where the machine sets the tempo, and we would rather get that match right than discover it after three shifts.
Shift times, commuting and preparation
Commuting deserves more attention in Stockholm than many clients expect. A warehouse that is easy to reach by car can be a long and uncertain journey by public transport when the shift starts at six in the morning or ends close to midnight, especially if the nearest commuter train station or bus stop is a long walk away. Before we confirm an assignment, we go through the route and shift times with the employee, because a shaky journey tends to turn into late arrivals after a few weeks. Tell us whether there is a staff bus, parking on site or a regular connection from the nearest station, and whether shifts sometimes overrun. It is a small detail when you place the order, yet it often decides whether an assignment runs smoothly for months or has to be restaffed.
Before the first shift we settle the points that otherwise slow down the first week. Where truck driving is included, we check the employee's documented training for your truck categories, and since you direct the work, your company provides the written truck authorisation that AFS 2023:11 calls for. Anyone involved in handling dangerous goods needs ADR 1.3 training. Large distribution centres often require an access card, a booked safety induction or a site-specific course before anyone starts, so tell us how far in advance these must be arranged. Let us know what protective equipment you require beyond safety shoes and a high-visibility vest, for example clothing for chilled or frozen zones. If you have written routines for new warehouse staff, send them over, and our employee can read up before the first shift instead of during it.
Seasons, pricing and staying on
Warehouse demand in Stockholm follows the retail calendar, with autumn campaigns, the Christmas rush and returns in January, and it also rises when a warehouse moves into a new building or a logistics provider takes on a new client. Absence adds its own gaps during the summer holidays and flu season. Hiring in lets you follow the volume without recruiting for a peak that passes. Get in touch as early as you have a rough forecast, since many warehouses scale up at the same time and larger groups are harder to assemble at short notice. Where the need turns out to be permanent, we can run a recruitment in which the candidate you choose is employed directly by your company. A hired-in employee who fits well can also move to your payroll, on terms that are already written into the customer agreement.
For warehouse staff in Stockholm, the hourly rate is set per role and reflects truck or dangerous goods qualifications, when the shifts fall and how long the assignment lasts. Built into it are the employee's pay and holiday pay, employer contributions, pension and the insurance that follows from the collective agreement. Starting costs nothing, and invoices cover the hours you have approved. In the warehouse, you direct the work, give the induction and are responsible for the work environment, including the risk assessment and protective equipment. Talea is the employer, handling the contract, payroll, sick leave and rehabilitation. Abbe Nilsson at the Älvsjö office is your contact person for the whole assignment, so you do not need to explain the background again each time a shift pattern or headcount needs adjusting.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to hire warehouse staff in Stockholm?
The hourly price is set for each assignment and depends on the tasks, truck or ADR qualifications, shift times and the length of the assignment. Pay, holiday pay, social contributions, pension and agreement insurance are part of that price. No start-up fee applies, and you pay for approved hours. Phone Abbe Nilsson, +46 73 739 16 04, and describe the role, address and period to receive a same-day quote.
Do you staff warehouses in Brunna, Rosersberg and Arlandastad?
Yes. Talea staffs warehouses across Stockholm County, including the logistics areas north of the city and the business parks to the south such as Länna and Jordbro. Before an assignment is confirmed, we go through shift times and the commute with the employee concerned, so that early and late shifts work in practice and not only on paper.
How quickly can you provide warehouse workers in Stockholm?
Call Abbe Nilsson with the tasks, address and preferred start, and by the end of the day you know what is possible and when a start is realistic. Larger groups, specialised truck work and sites that require their own safety course before the first shift need more notice, and we tell you that straight away.
Who issues the forklift authorisation for a hired-in warehouse worker?
Your company does, as the one directing the work. AFS 2023:11 requires a written operating authorisation for truck driving, and it relates to your trucks and your workplace. Talea checks that the employee has documented truck training for the relevant categories and sends you the documentation before the start, so the authorisation can be signed at the induction.
Can we hire a warehouse worker permanently after the assignment?
Yes. Swedish law on temporary agency work prevents a staffing company from blocking its employee from joining the client company. How a move of that kind works between our companies is settled before the first shift, so you can offer the person a job without a separate negotiation with us.
